Very enjoyable hotel, it has a way of making you feel "at home". Subway station not too far away (Porter Sq.), plenty of shops/restaurants in close proximity on Massachusetts Av. I would definitely come back. The resident cat was cute :) [beware of allergens]

Yummy breakfast with lots of tea, cookies, and eggs 🍳. Good location on the other side of the hill. Close to the Abbey - a cool spot to hang out.

My room opened onto the deck, which was full of flowers and well maintained. The room itself was comfortable, decorated with a nod to history, yet with the modern advantage of a whirlpool tub.

There was a full breakfast served in the morning. It was conveniently located about 5 blocks from Harvard. It was affordably priced at $139 for a loft style queen room. There was free parking.
My room smelled a little of carpet-glue, but overall it was well worth it for what I got.
